What to do before asking for support - DarkXero - 11-23-2021

Hello fellow XeroLinux users...

There are 3 steps to get your issue resolved as fast as possible... But befre that, a small discalimer...

I am not saying this to be negative. Look at it from my perspective, I am a one man show, I cannot bite off more than I can chew. I only use KDE, how can I support something I have no idea about or use ? I am just being transparent with y'all..

-> Step 1 : Help yourself/Research

Do some research before installing and reporting issues. There are plenty of resources out there. Since this Distro is based on ArchLinux, anything on the ArchWiki applies.

-> Step 2 : Ask for help

If you can't find the answers there, and have read all the release notes, then, in order for me to provide you with fast and effective support, I will need you to tell me a few things, otherwise support will be slow and limited. Post on the #distro-support channel, now find below the list of things I will need :

  • - Screenshot of your config using inxi -F.
  • - Run installer in Debug mode, send me output.
  • - Use the probe command too and share link.
  • - A detailed description of the issue.

Once that's done, only then will I be able to help you sort out any underlying issues. If that's not followed you might get the wrong answers getting stuck, and I might delete your post too. So follow this carefully...

Once your issue is solved, and you encounter others with similar issue, kindly share solution with them. Or if you see someone having an issue that you, yourself know how to solve, feel free to help. I cannot be present all the time due to work and life.
