MKVToolNix, the tool to fix your mkv collections - ATH-Linux - 02-21-2024
I haven't noticed but we have this utility on Linux, it can batch fix MKV files. Like avidemux it is a non destructive editor that can fix some annoying problems of the default file settings.
MKV is probably the best format for archival purpose since you can build curated content and expand on the original file without altering quality (adding subs for example). MKVToolNix is not as popular as Avidemux but it is just as useful.
To install via Pacman :
