KDE Plasma Package Groups
Hey y'all

I am writing this to let you know that, although ArchInstall does not install many of the necessary Plasma packages. Situation might be the same for others as well, I do not know, since I do not use them, just keep that in mind while using the script to install ArchLinux. Anyway below I will post links to the various Plasma Groups, just running below command then you can select what to install from each one..
sudo pacman -S --needed group-name

Note :
Quote:Now, you will notice that some groups have common packages between them, it's a feature not a bug lol.. That's how they do it over there.. I have no clue why but hey.. If you use the command I mentioned above it will only install packages that do not exist on your system..

- Plasma Groups :
  • Plasma Frameworks 6 => Here
  • KDE System Tools => Here
  • KDE Plasma (6.0.1) => Here
  • KDE Network Tools => Here
  • KDE Graphics Tools => Here
  • KDE Utilities => Here
  • KDE Multimedia => Here
  • KDE Applications => Here
  • Plasma Desktop => Here
  • Plasma Meta Group => Here
  • Plasma Workspace => Here

Hope that helps clarify the situation. To see what each profile installs if you opt for ArchInstall click here and have fun..

I do try to help where I can, when I can.
I do this on my own, so I might not have all the answers.
